Brassica oleracea capitata

This variety is well over 100 years old, and has stood the test of time, literally! Copenhagen Market cabbage is an heirloom variety introduced in the 1900s by H.Hartmann and Company. Produces good solid heads up to 25cm across, weighing in at up to 2kgs. What makes these beauties stand out, is that they rarely split in the field. This is a great variety for smaller gardens and is an easy to grow garden buddy for beginner gardeners.

The cabbage leaves can be enjoyed raw in salads or cooked as a side dish. Another great way is to use the leaves as low-calorie replacements for tortillas and veggie burger buns!

Heat tolerant, does very well in hot summer temperatures.
