Everything you will need to make your very own amazing germination mix – just like we do here at Livingseeds!

Your pack contains:

1 x 3kg Fertilis (earthworm castings)

1 x 400g Bag of Perlite

1 x 400g Bag of Vermiculite

1 x ~900g Cocopeat block

This mix will give you between 12-15 kg of germination mix.

Mixing Instructions:

This is a two part process as the coir block needs to be buffered first.

To buffer, add 8 liters of water to a container and dissolve the supplied Calcium Nitrate in the water.
Add the coir block and leave to soak for 12 hrs or overnight.
Pour off the water measuring how much water has been poured off (typically around 3-4 lt)
Add the other three part of the germination mix.
We find adding the perlite early on will reduce the amount of dust generated.
Mix well and use with your favourite method.

NOTE: The Perlite may contain fine dust that could cause irritation, it is advised to use a dust mask and/or wet the product down to capture and trap the dust. This is especially important if you suffer from any breathing related issues.

If you have excess after you have finished planting, you can allow it to dry out naturally, just re-hydrate when needed.
