Capsicum annuum

An heirloom from Asia that has been grown and used since the 1800s. Prolific producers, each bush can produce up to 200 thin, pointy, upright facing chillis, creating quite a display as they ripen. These chillis are most popular in Thai cooking, adding a unique flavour to soups, noodle dishes, curries, stir-fries, stews and broths.

The peppers can be frozen for later use or dried and crushed.
