If alfalfa seeds are inoculated with Rhizobium meliloti bacteria, they will fix nitrogen into your soil for your future planting. To fix nitrogen in your soil using alfalfa, please inoculate your seeds with the Alfalfa Inoculum Pack.

Plant in autumn for green manure and in spring for fodder/grazing.
