Ocimum basilicum

Historically one of the most revered herbs, Basil is native to both India and ancient Persia. Anise basil has dark stems, beautiful green leaves and pink-purple flowers. The delicious licorice flavour compliments fish, tomato, and fruit recipes extremely well, with the added benefit of being an insect deterrent in the home and/or garden.

They grow to about 60cm tall which makes them a brilliant variety for container growing.

Ready to harvest around 80 days.
