Sorghum bicolor
This variety is also known as Apache Red Sugar Cane which is technically incorrect, it's correct name is Apache Red. Stunning super sweet sorghum variety that really tastes like sugar cane. Great for making sorghum syrup or eating fresh in the garden. Alternatively this is a great party trick when you get young kids to walk with you in the garden, whip out your pocket knife and slice them a section of your own home grown 'sugar cane'.
This variety is heavily attacked by birds, protection is required!
