Cucurbita pepo

A beautiful pale green to white “patty pan”. This plant produces high yields of squash in only approximately 50+ days. They have a slight sweetness and a buttery flavor. They are tender when young and best eaten young, although you can still use older fruits in casseroles, potjies and even muffins. High in Vitamins A, B6, K, C and E as well as folate, riboflavin & manganese. Younger fruits still have a green tint in, while older fruits are white.
