One of the older brinjal varieties known in South Africa. Before the advent of all the new hybrid varieties, this was the market leader for farmers and home gardeners. This classic beauty with its shiny black fruits has a remarkable flavour, with the advantage of being able to be picked fresh and eaten straight away. A stunning, prolific plant that produces masses of large glossy fruit. It is a heritage vegetable variety that simply cannot be improved on.
