Sesamum indicum

A much loved and widly used seed in Asian and Indian cooking. Black Sesame seeds have a delicious crunch and nutty flavour. The flavour is richer and fuller than the standard white sesame seed, offering a more intense culinary experience.

Sesame seeds are high in oils, iron, magnesium, zinc and calcium, with high nutritional value.

They are a delicious addition to yoghurt, oats, salads, stir-fries, breads and baked goodies, not to mention the fuller flavour contribution in the making of sublime sushi.
