Phaseolus vulgaris

An heirloom variety from Mexico that has been grown for over 150 years. This variety is high yielding, producing abundant pods filled with small, shiny black beans. They add a delicious, meaty texture when added as dry beans to soups, stews, burritos and any dish that calls for dry beans. The beans change from black to a rich brown when cooked. The plants are semi runners and do require some support. The plants are hardy, resistant to disease and tolerate heat well.

Ready to harvest in 90 days.

Standard packet contains approx. 25 seeds
