Solanum lycopersicum
The latest release in "new" tomato colours. These are open pollinated varieties that have been bred using traditional methods and at the same time utilizing old or wild strains of tomatoes.
All the blue / indigo tomatoes are a deep blue / indigo black colour while ripening and then the will ripen with varying shades of red / yellow while keeping the blue shoulders. The flavour does change as the tomatoes ripen.
The flavours are intense and have a unique mix. These are sure to become firm favorites.
