Phaseolus vulgaris

LIMITED STOCK!

This is a very well-known, productive bush bean that produces stringless, nicely rounded, tender sweet beans in profusion. One of the superior green bean varieties that has been grown in the USA since 1885.

Standard packet contains approx. 10 seeds

There is no petite packet available

Using Beanflo-Rhizobium bacteria when planting your bean seed is the most cost effective way of putting nitrogen fixing bacteria into your soil, creating healthier soil for a more productive harvest.

Don't turn your back on this bean. I was literally harvesting from 4 plants on a weekly basis. A delicious bean especially when braised with onion and tomato. This will always have a place in my garden .

Great to snack on while moving through the garden. Not all seems to be the same variety though, got one or two plants that produced purple beans., and some wanted to climb climb climb

60% of the beans that germinated were Blue Lake Pole beans and not bush beans. The bush beans did fairly well and produced nicely but didn't come close to the unexpected pole bean variety. We have a freezer full of frozen beans now that summer is over, and enjoyed them fresh for months. I have packets full of dry beans to plant for next year so definitely a winner

Wow, these beans are amazing - they're sweet, tasty and stringless. It's mid November and I already had my first batch of beans for supper last night. They're very prolific. Only planted 8 seeds because of space and they all germinated. I will plant lots more of these when space become available in my garden. (Will freeze some for winter.) So glad I bought 2 more packets of seeds last week.

I had to take some time to write about this bush bean variety. We got a 70% success rate on germination, but those that did come up produced enough beans to make up for those that didn't. We have too many beans to know what to do with them. Besides production, these beans are very sweet and juicy. Very yummy - we ate them raw :)
