Pisium sativum
A attractive Dutch Heirloom that will have your neighbours talking about the pretty purple flowers and pods.
This variety can either be picked young as a snow pea or be left to swell out on the vine to be used as a shelling pea.
The Dutch tradition is to soak the pods overnight and pan fry them with onions and bacon the next day.
The plants can grow to 2m tall, so require a trellis for support. Pods are ready to harvest in 80 days.
Standard packet contains approx 25 seeds
