Brassica oleracea

One of the earliest varieties that we stock. Firm, small to medium sized heads, allowing you to plant them slightly closer than other varieties. The heads are 15-20cm across and nicely packed. This variety has been widely grown from the early 1900s.

When cooked, the spicy cabbage flavor becomes mild and buttery. These cabbages do great in coleslaw, stir fries and are exceptional cooked in a number of ways. Not usually considered to be a good storage variety, however as a bonus it's heat tolerant and does very well in hot summer temperatures.

Will be ready to harvest in under 80 days from transplant.
