Allium cepa
Caledon Globe is a South African Open Pollinated variety that does very well in the garden. A long day length onion, it does better in the southern half of the country (Below Bloem). Nice round onions, with a rich deep colour and good store-ability.
Onions provide nutritional benefits such as vitamin C, potassium, and calcium - even the leaves are rich in vitamin A!
Ready for harvest in 4-6 months.
