Brassica oleracea gemmifera
A very productive variety first introduced in 1941, when Arthur White developed them in Arkport, New York. Catskill is medium-green in colour and is a prodigious producer of bountiful, slightly larger yields than other OP varieties and may produce 80-100 sprouts on a single plant. The sprouts grow to about 4cm in size. Can be picked as needed directly off the plants, or you can lift the entire plant and then blanch the sprouts.
These sprouts freeze extremely well and can be enjoyed sauteed on the stove top, roasted in the oven or even placed in the air fryer for delicious, crispy sprouts.
Standard packet contains approx. 200 seeds
