Lagenaria siceraria
Also known as Maranka, this gourd has a narrow handle that ends in an oblong, deeply veined and ridged club. It has a hard shell and is very knobbly and unusual, yet attractive. This plant has high yields and is edible at around 20cm. When left to grow bigger, it is excellent for crafts such as making birdhouses.
