Dent Corn

Dent corn is the most widely grown corn type, almost all animal and industrial seed is made from dent corn varieties. The varieties that Livingseeds offers are GMO free and suitable for you to grow your own corn as animal feed.
Dent corn is characterised by the dent in the top of the kernel and a high starch content. The dent is created by two types of starch that dry differently on the sides and top of the kernel. The plants are typically large and robust to allow these large ears to grow well.

Dent corn is not often used for human consumption, however it can most definitely be eaten.
