Beta vulgaris var crassa
Crimson Globe is a great, fine fleshed, eating and storage variety. Grows well in most soils. This is an improved version of the very famous Detroit Dark Red, with slightly rounder roots. This beetroot performs exceptionally well as a pickler and freezes very well.
