Phaseolus vulgaris
A rare climbing bean from Mexico, these runner beans grow to well over 2 m tall, bear prolifically and look great in the garden.
Unusually, this bean was used as a dye as well as a food. The beans are best used as a dry bean and performs well in slow cooked meals or as a shelly bean side. Well suited to planting in the "Three Sisters Method".
