Anethum graveolens

Dill Forrest is a compact, bush-type dill developed for gardeners who love classic dill flavour but need to make the most of limited space. Originating from selections focused on container cultivation and small garden beds, Dill Forrest grows to just 45 cm in height while maintaining the aromatic richness of full-sized varieties. Its finely cut, dark green foliage is dense and lush, making it an attractive and useful addition to patios, balconies, and kitchen gardens.

Its soft, feathery leaves add a bright, tangy sweetness to fish dishes, potato salads, eggs, and soups. This variety also attracts pollinators and beneficial insects, offering the added benefit of supporting your garden’s ecology. Although small in stature, it delivers excellent flavour and yields, with leaves and stems that can be used fresh or dried for later use.

Sow Dill Forrest seeds directly into well-prepared soil at a shallow depth of about 3 mm. It is not suited to transplanting, so choose your growing spot carefully. Expect germination within 7 to 21 days in soil temperatures between 13–24 °C. Thin seedlings to 10–15 cm apart once established to allow room for bushy growth.

Plants are ready to harvest at around 110 days, although leaf picking can begin from around 45 days. This variety is particularly well-suited to succession sowing for ongoing harvests, and it performs exceptionally in raised beds, deep pots, and vertical garden containers where space efficiency is key.

Standard packet contains approx. 200 seeds
