Typically radish is a cool weather crop and bolts quickly in spring and summer heat. This is a much slower bolting variety that produces big succulent tasty roots. Giant Butter Globe is an Italian heirloom with a strong history in Europe, the roots are typically radish flavoured, not overly hot, with a nice soft but crunchy texture.
