Pisum sativum

Greenfeast is one of the staples in our family. We annually plant 2 double rows of these shelling peas in early spring and late summer. Each row is planted about a month apart and we harvest kilos and kilos of peas that we eat fresh and freeze for later use. Be careful about watering as mildew can be a problem, especially if the plants go to bed wet.

Ready for harvest in 85+ days.

Standard packet contains approx. 25 seeds

Petite packet contains approx. 10 seeds

Using Peaflo-Rhizobium bacteria when planting your pea seed is the most cost-effective way of putting nitrogen-fixing bacteria into your soil, creating healthier soil for a more productive harvest.

I plant them like this : make a small trench the depth of your second knuckle on the edge of your veggie patch. Pour the pea seeds in thickly - they should be touching each other. Cover with soil. Sink a broomstick or pole at each end of trench. Put in a length of chicken wire between the two sticks. Wait for your absolute pea hedge, and harvest all summer. The yield is incredible. And they don't mind being very very close together at all.

Oh wow! Fantastic, generous size peas, sweet and crispy burst of flavor. Planted these in April (Gauteng region) in containers and its now towards the end of September and I'm still harvesting these bad boys. My 2yr old loves these and this is a kid who eats for no man! These are going to be in my garden for years to come. Thank you Sean and the Team

By far the most delicious peas I've ever tasted. They were so sweet I thought someone had put maple syrup in the soil or something! My only regret is that I didn't plant more. I will be sure to order these every winter if I am able.

My 4and a half year old daughter sowed these as her own "experiment" - even from under 10cm of soil germination took only 5 days. And the peas do not make it into the house, as soon as ready to eat, my daughter eats them off the plants! Very delicious, the best way to eat peas!
