Chives are a very versatile herb having many culinary uses and health benefits, while side hustling as a stunning ornamental with their beautiful lilac profusion of flowers throughout the summer months. Closely related to onions, leeks, and garlic, chives are used to add flavour to a whole host of dishes from your common chip dip all the way through to omelettes, refined fish and poultry stuffings. Constant harvesting will only improve your stand that will die down in very cold winter conditions and then pop back up in spring.

Delicious and healthy, chive contain high quantities of vitamin C and are said to have anti bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties too.
