This sorghum variety was developed to produce a light sorghum molasses. Very high yielding stems have free-flowing juice that needs minimal pressure to extract. However, to get all the juice you will need to mechanise in some way. Children love eating the stems like sugarcane.
This variety is heavily attacked by birds, you need to ensure that you protect the maturing heads!
