Wonderful easy to grow Mielie that doesn't take up a lot of space in the garden and produces really well. Will definitely be planting more of these next season. Gorgeous little Mielies that I am putting on display in my house while drying out. |

The little red cobs was a sensation on facebook as people tried to guess what they were. Each plant only gave one ear of corn but I did not give them any care apart from putting the seeds in the ground. The popcorn was really tasty and popped very well. The only thing I regret is only planing 6 seeds. |

Wow, this popcorn is really hardy! I planted in my Aunt's garden 'cause I had no space in mine. About 40 days after I planted them my aunt went on holiday. And being 10 minutes away from them I only watered them once or twice a week. The soil was sandy and not so good, it was December/January month and the aphids were getting the better of them. I was giving up, when the ladybugs turned the tide and my aunt came back and started watering for me.I picked some immature ones and was shocked to see that they looked pretty healthy. About a week before the harvest, cows came... and ate all of the popcorn plants! I had some Indian Rainbow corn next to them and they were also munched down. So next time I plant this popcorn it'll be somewhere I can see them! |

One cob, one bowl full of perfect little yummy pops. I'm licking my fingers as I type! What I really like is that you don't get those sticky bits that get stuck in the back of your throat. It really is a lovely plant overall, nice enough to put between your flowers and so easy to grow. The little red cobs make you want to kiss them! Very chuffed that I've GROWN popcorn, not bought it in a microwave bag... |
