Oh we are so excited about this corn variety. Once grown widely in South Africa, Hickory has all but disappeared. We have been looking for it for years, finally we were able to track down some seed and now we are able to offer it as a main cropping variety to all of our customers.

Hickory King is a huge corn plant, easily pushing 3m tall. The beauty of this variety is that it's cob wrapper leaves are very tight, naturally preventing many pests from being able to enter and cause damage.

Best used as a grinding maize, if you are looking for a 'pap' mielie, this is your variety.
