Lobelia erinus

A stunning indigenous variety that has a compact growth habit, making it great for container gardening, borders or as a colourful filler in any bed. The blooms range from white to pink, lavender and dark blue, producing a profusion of colour early in the season. The bees also love them.

The tiny seeds are easy to grow; simply surface sow onto a fine germination mix in seedling trays in spring, use a humidity dome to keep the humidity up and for best results use a germination heating pad. Germination can take up to 21 days, so a little bit of patience is required.
