Heteromorpha arborescens

The Parsley Tree, known as 'Wildepietersielie' or 'Pietersielie' in Afrikaans has been used both medicinally and traditionally to treat many ailments from headaches, fevers, coughs, dysentery, and even worms and ringworm.

The bark of the Parsley tree is quite unique and is a great feature; it literally peels off in rings exposing the shiny smooth, golden brown fresh new bark.

A fast growing tree, growing up to 2m per year in optimum conditions and reaching up to 7m tall, with a 3-5m spread. The shape of the canopy can vary significantly giving each tree its own character and making for interesting specimens in the garden.

Sow the seeds in seedling trays, only covering very lightly and keep moist. Seeds germinate in 14-21 days and can be transplanted when large enough, usually around 3 months. Young trees need to be covered and heavily mulched in winter. Once the tree is established, it is very cold tolerant.

Standard Packet contains approx. 15 seeds
