Lactuca sativa
Also known as Taiwan sword leaf lettuce, pointed leaf lettuce, and Oriental lettuce. This very fast-growing lettuce boasts thin, long, bright green, slightly serrated leaves that grow from the central stem and form pointy-tipped leaves.
Can be harvested as a crown when young or allowed to grow out slightly and harvested as a loose-leaf lettuce. The leaves are tender and tasty and have a very distinct, refreshing taste.
Low heat/bolt resistance: Best planted in the cooler months to mitigate its bolting tendencies.
Ready for harvest around 50+ days.
