Capsicum baccatum
This is a very rare chilli from Hungary. The pretty yellow and white flowers make for an interesting show in the garden. Produces an abundance of beautiful elongated pods that ripen to a lovely bright red.
A tasty chilli as one would expect with a c.baccatum with a mild-medium heat and a nice lingering flavour.
PI 594136 is the official Plant Inventory designation. The pepper was originally donated in 1993 by Paul Bosland of UNM and the only notation was as follows:
