Solanum melongena

A prolific producer of long and slim, slightly curved, purple skinned brinjals with a sweet and meaty, creamy white flesh. The taste has a perfect bittersweet balance, so it is perfect for a wide array of recipes. These fruits are about 40cm long and 4cm in diameter. This variety can be stir-fried, grilled and even pickled. Best harvested at a younger stage for pickling.
