Phaseolus vulgarus
Labrador beans are bush beans but are also called snap beans, dwarf beans, French dwarf beans.
These beans grow well and produce extraordinarily. It takes the plants about 56 days for them to reach their mature bean stage. The pods are dark green in colour and are very fleshy and tender to eat. Labrador beans grow well with carrots, brassicas, beetroots and cucumbers. They have a good shelf life and are perfect for eating fresh or can be frozen.
