Lactuca sativa
A tall yet compact Romaine-type variety perfect for small gardens and container gardening, producing petite heads of dark green outer leaves and inner leaves with a golden-blanched colour. The leaves are crisp and sweet, best added to your dish just before serving. This is arguably the best lettuce to use to make Caesar salad. The ribs of the mature leaves have a bitter herb taste.
Prefers cooler weather and needs to be protected from heat.
Ready for harvest at 70+ days.
