Melothria scabra

Cucamelons, also known as Melothria, mouse melons and Mexican sour gherkins look like mini watermelons but are in fact cucumbers. This amazing and delicious mini cucumber originates from Central America and Mexico.

They have an awesome fresh cucumber flavour with a hint of lime and are best eaten when crisp and light green in colour.

Delicious as a snack on their own and make a great addition to salads...if they ever even make it to the kitchen!

A very pretty vine with its heart shaped leaves, they make wonderful container plants grown up a trellis.
