This ancient aromatic spice is most often used in Eastern cooking. No curry is complete without crushed Nigella. It is also known as Black Seed or Black Cumin. In Morocco this seed is also used twisted in a ball using a thin cloth, then rubbed and inhaled through the nostrils to help clear stuffy noses.
