Phaseolus vulgaris
LIMITED STOCK!
A Malawian dry bean variety from the Blantyre region. This is a staple food and cash crop for most of Malawi.
The bright red-deep maroon coloured beans are locally known as red stewing beans, which is most often what they are used for. They keep their rich colour when cooked and impart a deep rich hue to your meals, giving your dishes great eye-appeal.
This variety is excellent for dry-land production and is a strong grower with natural rust resistance.
Standard packet contains approx. 10 seeds
There is no petite option available
Using Beanflo-Rhizobium bacteria when planting your bean seed is the most cost effective way of putting nitrogen fixing bacteria into your soil, creating healthier soil for a more productive harvest.
