Allium cepa

A stunning, slightly flattened onion variety from the town of Savona in the North of Italy.

The red skin is pellucid red giving them the appearance of having more of a pink coloured skin. The crisp flesh is mild and sweet, making it perfect for raw eating in salads. Can be harvested as a small onion to roast whole or as a sweet addition to sosaties.

This is a medium to long day onion variety, which will grow best in the Southern half of the country.
