Antique Pea is a really special, exceedingly rare pea variety that simply makes a a delightful garden subject, producing a profusion of pastel coloured flowers in a stunning array of colours. This beautiful pea deserves a place in your garden purely based on ornamental value, and also has a superb trick up it's sleeve; Antique peas make the absolute best dry pea for winter soups and stews. Beautifully practical....we love it!

Livingseeds grew and sold this variety over 13 years ago, due to unforeseen circumstances, we unfortunately lost the variety and stopped growing and selling it. Emile Theart from Tulbach was the studious curator of this very rare variety over the past 10 years. It's due to his seed saving efforts that Antique Peas are now again available to the South African gardener. Thank you Emile!
