Capsicum baccatum
A variety originally from Peru and Brasil. This variety favours the growing conditions of 50% shade and 50% sunshine. It is a long season variety that has a vine-like growth habit. This chilli got its' name from it resembling a sea-star/ star-fish. The heat intensifies as the fruits ripen from green to red.
They are best pickled, used in salads and compliment cheese with their delicious fruity flavour.
