This variety originates from Oaxaca, Mexico.

These rare peppers vary in shape and skin texture; ripening from dark green to brown. They are commonly used to make mole sauce.

The fruits are mild with an oddly sweet flavour. This variety is also great for stuffing, or for making salsas and sauces.
