Phaseolus vulgaris

A real favourite in the Livingseeds Show Garden, one cannot help but snack on them as you walk past. A prolific producer of stunning, slightly flattened purple pods that are tender and crisp with a great fresh bean flavour. To enjoy the colour, eat them raw in salads or as part of a veggie platter with a cream cheese dip. On cooking, the stunning purple turns a lovely deep green.
