Gossypium hirsutum

This cotton plant starts off green, but as it grows, it develops beautiful red stems and leaves. The vibrant, bright pink flowers make quite a show with the backdrop of the red plant.

Cotton needs high temps and a long growing season to produce well, so get them started as early in the season as possible in seedling trays, preferably on one of our heating pads. They need well improved soil and regular applications of Talborne's Vita Fruit and Flower. You can expect your first bolls to start coming off the plant at around 140 days, but with care the plant will keep producing until the first real killing frost.
