Brassica oleracea acephala
This is an award winning child of Siberian and Red Russian Kale. Thick, frilly leaves with deep purple veins make this a stunningly beautiful variety to grow.
The young leaves have a light purple coloured stem that intensifies to a deep purple when the plant is touched by frost, intensifying not only the colour but the sweet, distinct flavour too.
Delicious eaten raw when young, cooked - steamed or in stir-fries.
Ready for harvest around 65 days.
