Brassica oleracea
A savoyed drumhead cabbage variety that dates back to medieval Italy. The earliest records date this distinctive variety of cabbage back to the 1500s. This cabbage has deeply crumpled, dark green leaves and a very tender, yet sweet flavour with a fresh, crisp mouthfeel. Savoy Perfection does not have the smell that is often associated with cooked cabbage and we absolutely enjoy these thinly sliced in coleslaw and cooked as regular cabbage.
Ready to harvest 90-100 days from transplant.
