Phaseolus lunatus

This heirloom variety gained it's reputation as being Thomas Jefferson's personal favourite, which he grew in his Monticello around 1750.

In it's time, it was considered to be one of the most productive and vigorous growers. The plants are early starters, withstanding a little cooler weather. The dried white beans have a superior texture and outstanding flavour. Definitely a must grow in your garden.

This pole variety requires trellising. Ready to harvest in 80 days.

Standard packet contains approx. 25 seeds

Petite packet contains approx. 10 seeds

Using Beanflo-Rhizobium bacteria when planting your bean seed is the most cost effective way of putting nitrogen fixing bacteria into your soil, creating healthier soil for a more productive harvest.
