Cichorium intybus

An Heirloom with an exceptional flavour. The large and tightly headed chicory that grows upright. The outer leaves have a mild taste which enclose a crisp and sweet heart of pale golden leaves.

A great addition to any dish, raw, fried or grilled and seems to lose a lot of its bitterness when cooked. The leaves hold the flavour even after being frozen.

Ready to harvest in about 85 days.
