Sugar Magnolia Tendril Pea is another unique innovation from Dr Kapuler. This is the first ever purple podded sugar snap pea! Another first release for South Africa, this hyper tendril pea is similar to it cousin the Magnolia Blossom. The hyper tendril trait makes this pea a unique addition in the garden, tall plant that b=need staking to show them off to their best ability.
The tendrils fulfill a number of functions, firstly they are leaf replacements, opening up the plant so that they can dry out faster, slowing down the incidence of powdery mildew, secondly they are edible and make a wonderful garnish on a plant or an unusual addition to a salad bowl.
