Solanum lycopersicum
A very well-known, well-loved, and flavoursome heirloom with an interesting backstory. You'd think it originated in Rome due to its name, but the Roma tomato was in fact developed in the US and made publicly available in 1955. It earned its Italian name due to its San Marzano parentage.
Although a paste tomato, it doubles well as a good salad tomato, as its flesh does not collapse too easily.
Standard packet contains approx. 25 seeds
