Solanum lycopersicum
This is a fabulous heirloom variety for the home gardener. Introduced from Greece to the USA in the 1950s, these plants are loaded with trusses of deep red, round, mild-tasting tomatoes.
Its dense foliage is great for protecting the fruit against the scalding sun. This is a good early producer that, if well fed and cared for, will produce for most of the summer.
Ready for harvest in 70 days after transplant.
